Our community is on the norther tip of Harstine Island - a relatively "undiscovered" island in the south Puget Sound area - reached from the west by bridge, between Shelton and Bremerton, WA.

From the North
Drive South to Tacoma on I-5, and take Tacoma Narrows Bridge at the Rt. 16 Exit. Take Route 16 N., past Gig Harbor, to Route 3 Turn left, Take Route 3 South towards Allyn and Shelton
Go through Allyn, and turn left on Pickering Road towards Jarrell's Cove about 10 miles S. of Allyn, just past the 11-mile marker.
As you approach the bridge, Pickering Rd. turns to the right. You should stay left on the main road and follow the signs to the bridge and Harstine Island.

From the South
Take I-5 North to Exit 104 near Olympia. Follow Route 101 towards Shelton. Take first Shelton Exit (Route 3) and follow through town, continuing North towareds Bremerton
Just past mile 10, turn right on Pickering Road towards Jarrell's Cove State Park (watch for sign) As you approach the bridge to Harstine Island, Pickering Rd. turns to the right. You should stay left on the main road and follow the signs to the bridge and Harstine Island. Cross Bridge to Harstine Island; turn left at end of road. Follow Road North 4 1/2 miles to Hartstene Pointe Gate. |
