“Raft” of Sea Lions in Case Inlet
Photo uploaded by: Susan Lee
Watched this unique sight on Nov 2nd for a long time wondering what it was - before researching the internet and discovering that it is common for sea lions to “raft” together and float along as a group. Watched this group of 20 or so animals (up to 1000 pounds each) for more than an hour as they slowly drifted from the Pointe southward along Case Inlet and by our Island House on Nantucket along the bluff.
Clear, well-focused photographs of Pointe subjects and activities are welcomed
