Center of Disease Control
Corona Virus Disease-19 designated as COVID-19 Information:
Dear HPMA Resident,
Based on rapidly evolving information from the Center of Disease Control (CDC), WA State Department of Health, King County Public Health & Evergreen Hospital, there are known reported deaths from the Corona Virus -- The BOD believe the following information may be helpful to HPMA residents.
COVID-19 is a contagious viral infection that usually causes mild to moderate respiratory symptoms in many people
COVID-19 however can be very severe in vulnerable populations:
  • Over 60 yrs
  • Chronic disease of heart and/or lungs
  • Diabetes
  • Cancer
The CDC "vulnerable population" definitions apply to many of our HPMA residents.
As of today Monday March 2, the WA Dept of Public Health has not yet recommended wide spread social distancing in typical communities.
However, the Depart of Health has suggested that persons in the more vulnerable category may need to consider:
  • Having an adequate supply of:
  1. Medications
  2. Food
  3. Clorox, gloves & other cleaning supplies
  • Avoiding others that are ill
  • Staying home when possible
  • Consider Social distancing - not meeting in groups
  • Planning how to care for self &  others in your home.
  • Standard hand-washing & avoid touching face procedures.
Please see handouts regarding when to use an N-95 mask
Attached are 4 references from the CDC that may be helpful in your mitigation measures.
We encourage you to update these references as the situation evolves.
Thank you,

Since you are closing the clubhouse and offices, does this mean you will be deep cleaning and disinfecting the offices and the clubhouse during this closure ?
