Temporary/Transient Moorage
 
 
The Harbormaster  will allow use of the Transient Moorage Space only to Property Owners or contract purchaser of property at Hartstene Pointe and their guests. Moorage is not available to renters.   Fees for transient moorage are billed to the property owner and not collected at the Marina.
 
All users of transient moorage shall complete the registration form and identity card upon arrival, placing the identity card in a visible location on the boat and the registration form in the mailbox at the marina on the dock.

As we welcome your boats back to our new beautiful marina, we want to pass on some important information regarding modifications to the docks.
 
At the recent Moorage meeting the subject of owner modifications to the new docks was discussed.
 
´╗┐From the guidance received from Marine Floats, owner dock modifications could potentially void the 40 year warranty on the docks due to the additional holes weakening the structure. 
 
So at this time, there can be no owner made modifications that will install any type of fasteners into the new docks. (HPMA Emergency equipment being exempt).
 
It was also decided that items such as; dock wheels, dock fenders, dock boxes, and owner installed cleats will also be prohibited from being installed.
 
For those wishing an additional cleat to be installed, it will be performed by HPMA Maintenance using cleats that were salvaged from the old docks and will be ‘through bolted’ to minimize the structural damage caused be the additional holes.
 
Jet ski docks, if allowed by DNR, can only be secured to the dock cleats using standard boat tie lines. We are still waiting to hear from DNR if jet ski-like docks are allowable under our new DNR lease.
 
The process to request an additional cleat (or any other modification) needs to come through the Moorage Committee for review and approval:
 
Fill out the standard HPMA Work Order form and submit to the office. Provide as much detail as possible. It will be given to the Harbormaster to forward to the Committee.
State the reason and location for the additional cleat. The Moorage Committee will decide if the request for an additional cleat is justified and maintains the option of implementing an installation charge of up to $100 per cleat.

Just a quick checklist to review prior to bringing your boats back to the marina:
 
Please meet with Cindy in the office and sign your lease agreement and complete or bring in any additional paperwork (registration, insurance information).
 
Review the attached New Dock Schematic and Marina Slip Holders list. Please be advised, your slip numbers have changed but the slip location remains the same.
Absolutely no modifications are allowed to the dock.
 
This includes moving cleats, corner rollers, or any other mechanical process which involves drilling holes or mounting hardware to the dock. A work order must be submitted to and reviewed by the Marina Committee prior to any modification to the dock structure.
 
Note: The legality of having a jet ski dock in the slip is under review due to new restrictions in our lease with DNR.
 
Please hold off on installing jet ski docks ´╗┐until further notice.
