How to use the Website

1. What's New?
  • Calendar of Events

This is an interactive calendar of events, managed by the office.
  • Classified Ads – Posting

You've seen the classified ads on the website before, but now you can post your own ads, and add several pictures of your home or item.   You have to be logged in to post an ad.
  • Getting Help: Property Owners “Toolbox”

A wide variey of helpful information and website links are found on our new "Home Owner's User Manual", sometimes called the "Homeowner's Toolbox".

You'll find this under "Get Help", and we welcome suggestions for additional links or information to be added.
  • Marina Webcams

Webcams are available to see what's happening at our Marina -- and also useful to check the weather.  The links are on the HOME PAGE, and other locations within the website.

There are 7 webcams, with two having infrared (nighttime) capability.  Enjoy!

  • Photo Gallery – photos welcomed

You must be logged in to use this feature

Our new photo gallery now allows any HPMA member to submit their photos directly.  Please select only your best photos, and then upload them to one of the photo galleries.
  • Vendor / Contractor Recommendations

This is the HPMA version of "Angie's List". where the community makes recommendations, adds comments and ratings, for the various vendors and contractors that are often used at the Pointe.

This  service is only as good as you make it with your additions and comments.  Please contribute your experiences with vendors and contractors.

2. Registration
  • How do I change my User ID or Password?

You must be logged in to change your User ID or Password.

Click on "Update My Profile" under the HOME button on the navigation bar.  You can then change your User Name, Password, and other information in your profile.

If you have any difficulty, contact the webmaster.
  • How do you restrict membership to HPMA owners?

Only people who live or own property at the Pointe are allowed to register and create an account.  All requests for registration are screened by the HPMA office staff.

By requiring people to have a user account on the site to use the interactive features of the site, we can protect it from people who may make improper use of the website.

  • Is my email address private?

If you used your email as your User ID or Password, it is private.  Only you, and the website administrators, have access to that information.

However, if you post a Classified Ad, for example, and include your email address, it is then available for anyone who sees your posting.
  • Why should I create an account?

Most of the pages in this site are open to the public, and no registration or login is needed to see them.

However, to get the full use of the site and all of its interactive features, or to see certain "protected" pages such as the Owners Directory, you will have to create an account (register), and login to use those features.

The features that will require you to login include:
    •     Adding items to the Community Calendar
    •     Posting a Classified Ad
    •     Posting a review of a contractor or vendor
    •     Using any of our on-line forms - Work Request, Boat Registration, Facility Reservation, etc.
    •     Making a reservation for the Clubhouse, or North Beach
    •     Accessing "private" pages, such as the Property Owner Directory
By requiring people to have a user account on the site to use these features, we can protect the site from non-residents making improper use of the website.
